These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our Website and your purchase and use of our tutoring services. By using the Website, booking a Session, or purchasing a package, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or purchase services.
These Terms should be read alongside our:
Privacy Policy: https://stepintoai.net/privacy
Returns and Refunds Policy: https://stepintoai.net/refunds
We provide online tutoring and coaching services. Services may include GCSE, A Level, admissions and interview coaching, study skills, exam technique, and learning support.
We aim to support learning and confidence, but we do not guarantee any specific grade, exam result, interview outcome, or admissions decision.
Sessions may be delivered by Emmanuel or another Tutor in our tutor network. We allocate Tutors based on subject, level, availability, and the Student’s needs.
If a Tutor becomes unavailable (for example illness or timetable changes), we may offer a suitable replacement Tutor, a reschedule, or a refund or credit for the affected Session in line with our Returns and Refunds Policy.
As part of our safeguarding and quality standards, Tutors are required to provide suitable DBS evidence (Enhanced DBS within the last 3 years, or Enhanced DBS on the DBS Update Service). We handle personal data relating to safeguarding and DBS carefully and in line with UK data protection rules.
If the Student is under 18, a Parent or Guardian must book, accept these Terms, and be responsible for payment.
You confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, or you are the Parent or Guardian giving consent on the Student’s behalf.
All Sessions are online only, delivered via Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
Sessions and Packages are scheduled manually after purchase by email to agree times and allow preparation.
If the Student joins late, the Session will usually still end at the scheduled end time. If we are late, we will add the lost time back or agree a fair alternative.
You are responsible for having a suitable device, stable internet, and a quiet learning environment. We are not responsible for problems caused by your internet, device, or local setup.
We accept payment via WooCommerce, including Stripe, PayPal, and bank transfer.
Prices are shown on the Website and may change from time to time. The price shown at checkout applies to your Order.
If a payment fails, is reversed, or a chargeback is raised, we may pause upcoming Sessions until the issue is resolved.
Our cancellation, rescheduling, and refund rules are set out in the Returns and Refunds Policy at: https://stepintoai.net/refunds.
Key points include the 24 hour notice rule and package rules.
Nothing in our policy removes your statutory consumer rights, including your rights where a service is not performed with reasonable care and skill.
If you buy online as a consumer, the Consumer Contracts Regulations provide a 14 day cancellation period for many distance contracts.
Because we often start providing the service soon after checkout (for example scheduling and preparation), if you ask us to start within the 14 day period and then cancel, you may be required to pay for the part of the service already provided, as set out in our Returns and Refunds Policy.
If you believe a Session was not delivered as agreed, you must contact us within the timeframe stated in our Returns and Refunds Policy.
Under the Consumer Rights Act, services must be performed with reasonable care and skill, and where appropriate you may be entitled to remedies such as repeat performance or a price reduction.
We expect respectful behaviour from Students and Parents. We may end a Session or suspend services if there is abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour.
Sessions are not recorded by default. You must not record a Session unless we have given written permission and any required consent has been obtained.
If a Tutor has a safeguarding concern, we may pause a Session and follow appropriate safeguarding steps. Parents and Guardians should ensure the Student is in a safe environment during online Sessions.
We process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. Because many Students are children, we take extra care with children’s personal data and aim to provide clear information about how data is used and shared.
We may share relevant information with the assigned Tutor to deliver the service. Tutors are required to follow confidentiality and data handling rules.
Please read our Privacy Policy for details of what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and your rights.
All Website content, branding, and our Materials are owned by us or licensed to us.
You may use Materials for personal study only. You must not copy, publish, sell, upload, or distribute our Materials outside your household without written permission.
You must not:
We may suspend or block access where we reasonably believe misuse is occurring.
We may use third party services (for example Teams, Zoom, payment providers, and website plugins). We are not responsible for third party outages or policies. Links to other sites are provided for convenience and do not mean we endorse them.
We provide educational tutoring services only. We do not provide medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (for example loss of opportunity, loss of profits, or disappointment with outcomes).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where the law does not allow it.
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform where caused by events outside our reasonable control (for example widespread internet outages, platform failure, serious illness, or other unavoidable disruption). Where possible, we will offer rescheduling or appropriate remedies under our policies.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
